Cape Town is one of the top world travel destinations, offering a rich variety of things to do and see for adults & kids!
- The Madina Institute is situated in the heart of Cape Town’s City Centre, within short walking distance of the famous Bo Kaap Cape Malay District, some of the nation’s oldest mosques, Company’s Garden, the Green Point Urban Park, museums, stunning colonial architecture, and delicious cuisine at many Halaal restaurants around town.
- Table Mountain is a spectacular sight to behold, and is a lovely place for scenic drives, hiking, paragliding, or one may go up to the top by the famous Cable Car as well.
The northern coast is where you’ll find the colder Atlantic Ocean sea board, beaches with fine white sand, boating, trips to the famous Robben Island, and home of the V&A Waterfront attractions.
- To the south you’ll find the warmer seas of the Indian Ocean, and here you’ll see surfing, swimming, diving, jet skis, a penguin colony, whale watching, and more.
- In the southern suburbs of Cape Town you’ll find gorgeous, lush areas tucked against the Table Mountain backdrop such as Constantia, Kirstenbosch Botanical Gardens, beautiful farm country, and the historic and lovely University of Cape Town.
- To the east is more of the rich countryside of South Africa’s farmland – grapes, olives, ostriches – and so much more. Paarl is a famous town with historical Dutch architecture, and gorgeous landscapes that are simply breathtaking.
- The Muslim community houses a lovely variety of its own mosques, schools, restaurants, and historical landmarks that are well-kept and oft-frequented by tourists and locals alike. Visitors often remark on how warm, friendly and welcoming the Muslim locals are – and their mosques are equally beautiful and inviting. They have a deep and dynamic history that goes back to the times of colonialism & slavery, and it is amazing to see what a vibrant and well-established institutions they have built despite the many hardships they have faced. One may also visit the famous sites where the Muslim spiritual founders are honored and buried (“Kramat”, aka “Mazaar”), and learn of the great sacrifice and history that runs in the veins of South Africa’s proud Muslim community. And we are most happy to welcome you as a new part of our family as well!
