Bismillah
My name is Hafza Iqbal and I am a 23 year old graduate student of Politics from the University of Wolverhampton, UK. I live near the UK’s second city Birmingham Alhumdullilah, which has been dubbed Europe’s “capital for Islamic ilm“. I was blessed to have studied at the Dars-e-Nizami scholarly course in Birmingham with great teachers. I have also been a volunteer for Madina Institute UK and it has helped me not only work in dawah but to meet new people and open my eyes to the vast nature of dawah itself Alhumdullilah.
I am taking a gap year after my degree and before I go onto post-graduate study InshaAllah. I chose to study in Cape Town at Madina Institute and I am so grateful I did. Not only have I been given the opportunity to live in undoubtedly one of the most beautiful and diverse cities on earth but I have been blessed with knowledge at the hands of world-class teachers. I have been taught that ilm is a great thing but more importantly that it is only great when used a key to unlock the doors to Allah and to please and work for Him. I have learned not only knowledge from books but this experience has opened my eyes to the different ways one can see and practice the deen of Allah. I have learned from the people here, kindness, wisdom and generosity- both inside the classroom and out.
So I consider myself indebted to the people of Cape Town and Madina SA- I really cannot repay what I have gained from them in the way of knowledge, love and sincere service to the deen! And if I can implement any of those things into whatever work I do in the future, I will consider myself blessed with even greater fortune then I have already!
ALHUMDULLILAH FOR MADINA SA 🙂
