Theological Methodology and Approach

Madina Institute adheres in its methodology to the Quran and the aunthentic Prophetic Sunnah.

In Aqeeda (Creed/Islamic Theology):

The Institute teaches the Māturīdī School of creed of Imam Abū Manṣūr al-Māturīdī (238 – 333 AH), the Ashʿarī School of Imam Abū al-Ḥasan al-Ashʿarī (260 – 324 AH) and the school of Ahlul Hadith creed like  the school of Al Hafiz Abū al-Faraj ʿAbd al-Raḥmān ibn ʿAlī ibn Muḥammad ibn al-Jawzī (510 – 597 AH).

In Fiqh/law:

In its legal theory the Institute follows the schools of Imam Abū Ḥanīfa (80 – 150 AH), Imam Mālik ibn Anas (93 – 179 AH), Imam  al-Shāfiʿī (150 – 204 AH) and Imam Aḥmad ibn Ḥanbal (164 – 241 AH)

In Tazkiya and Ihsan:

The Institute follows the Quran and the authentic Prophetic Sunnah in the schools of Imam Abu ‘l-Qasim al-Junayd ibn Muhammad al-Baghdadi (218 – 298AH) and  Imam al Ghazali (423 – 505 AH)
