Full kitchen facilities are not available, but rooms will have a fridge in the rooms. So quick
snacks can be considered.

Due to the safety reasons and being considerate for other students, foods from outside should
be avoided.

PACKING

In our free time, we are planning football or basketball in the fields. Youth may bring along their
sports shoes and sportswear. Due to safety reasons swimming is not considered.

Students should avoid large amount of money with them. ATMs can also be used to withdraw
money if needed.

Dorms will have security and camera but everybody should pay attention to attend their own
valuable items.

FIELD TRIPS AND TRAVEL

Travels will be with buses from the class location to the visiting site and back.

Youth will have badges with the names and emergency contact info. The ratio of responsible
adults to youth will be 1:10. Each supervising adult will be allocated their youth group to keep
track of. This applicable throughout the duration of the program (in Istanbul and in Konya).

If you are dropping your child off or picking them up, we suggest you do this during the early
afternoon.

The program will be 17 days in total (excluding 1st and 19th) which will include weekends. We
aim to offer a well-structured and engaging program that keeps the children occupied with
various activities throughout the day. Students are responsible for managing their time after the
program ends each day, but they must be punctual for the following day's activities.

Train fare and accommodation in Konya is included in the registration fee for students.

HEALTH AND SAFETY

Passports will be kept by the organization committee by Insan ve Irfan Vakfı.

A website will be provided with password access. Parents can see the daily program day-to-day.
Any change in the schedule will be reflected on the website. Passwords will be provided to the
parents and we would kindly ask the parents and students to keep the password to themselves
for security reasons.

For the buildings they will be staying in, emergency briefing will be provided to students.

Students will be admitted to hospital if needed and as the consent form indicates parents will be
responsible for the occurring cost.

A standard medical emergency service is provided in hospitals across Turkiye.

Youth coordinators within Insan ve Irfan Vakfı and Madina Institute are qualified to attend
students in such activities. They are experienced with youth programs, equipped with
pedagogical formation and safety protocols.
