Book: Purification of the Mind (Jila’ Al-Khatir) by Shaykh Abdul Qadir Jailani

Madina Institute is especially humbled, for the first time, to have as a Reflector, the Honourable Shaykh Afeefuddin Al-Jailani (Malaysia) – Hails from the Al-Jailani Family, lineage leading to Shaykh Abdul Qadir Jailani, a direct descendant of our Beloved Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him and his family). Shaykh Afeefuddin is the Head of Darul Jailani International and the Chairman of Al-Wariseen Trust. Shaykh’s scholarly works and teachings covers Islamic Jurisprudence and Spirituality and Shaykh is a regular speaker and participant at scholarly seminars and conferences world – wide.

Facilitator: Shaykh Zaid Fataar (Al-Azhari) – Senior Lecturer at Madina Institute South Africa and Co-Imam at Zeenatul Islam Masjid in Cape Town. Shaykh Zaid specializes in the sciences of Aqidah (Belief) and Philosophy receiving a B.A in Islamic Theology. Privately, Shaykh Zaid studied under various scholars in Egypt receiving Ijazaat (Authority) in Hadith and Aqidah.

Narrator: Sister Gadijah Darries – Madina Institute Alumnus and IPSA graduate with a BA Hons degree in Maqasaid as-Shariah. She currently works in Tourism Research and Teaches part-time Back to Basic Courses at Madina Institute.
